After refreshing rain and cooler weather Monday, our attention now turns to the potential for severe storms and more needed rainfall this afternoon and tonight.
“While we may see a few showers during the day, the best chance for storms will come late this afternoon and extend into late tonight. We should be weather alert today and have a way to receive weather warnings as some storms will likely produce hail and high wind, possibly an isolated tornado,” said KOXE Meteorologist Randy Turner.
Heavy rain is also expected from the stronger storms tonight.
