On Wednesday morning, May 11, members of North Lake Community Church in May, Texas joined church pastor Ron Keener in presenting a $500 check to Amanda Towns, outgoing Executive Director of  Pregnancy Care Center in Brownwood.  Wednesday was Amanda’s next to last day to serve in that capacity.  Her husband, Dr. Mark Towns, was recently called to serve as Pastor of First Baptist Church in Saginaw, Texas.

“We at North Lake Community Church make a commitment to you each month.  What we want to do today, $500, to the Central Texas Pregnancy Care Center and this $500 gift from North Lake Community Church is in honor of you and your leadership here at Central Texas Pregnancy Care Center,” Keener said.  “You have stood tall, you have stood for life and you’ve stood for it boldly but, as I said Sunday, you’ve stood for it lovingly.”

“I appreciate all of you.  It’s always fun to have you come in because you’re old friends and I appreciate it so much, old friends who love the girls like we love them.  We are just so grateful for each of you, always have been, always will be,” Towns said.
