Wildfires Being Battled in Coleman and San Saba Counties

The Grissom Fire, northeast of Santa Anna in Coleman County, was at 60% containment as the sun went down on Sunday. The fire has scorched an estimated 1,200 acres. According to the Texas A&M Forest Service, fire activity on the north end of the fire has diminished with aviation support and line construction. Crews continue to increase containment and patrol the fire area.

In San Saba County, the CincoBarFire was at 447 acres and 99% contained as of Sunday night. The fire acreage was increased due to more accurate mapping. Firefighters patrolled the fire area Sunday, checking for hotspots.
