Michael Douglas Cope, 57, left this world on May 4, 2022. He was born on December 3, 1964, to Charles and Patricia Cope of Brownwood. Mike spent much of his life away from Brownwood, but returned in 2005. He had a variety of careers in his life but being a talk show host and DJ at Wendlee Broadcasting was the one he enjoyed the most.

Mike reconnected with a past love, Teresa Guess. They were married December 21, 2006.

Mike was a very talented artist, a self-confessed nerd, a good friend, and a loving husband.

He is survived by his wife, Teresa Cope, his brother, Mark Cope,nieces Sara Parker and Michelle Cope, Stepson Chris Guess and partner, Heather Fowler, and three grandchildren, Jonathan Guess, Kendall Messman and Payton Messman. He is also survived by cousins Ron Clark and wife Patricia, Shelley Sloas and husband Don. He leaves behind many friends and people who were better for knowing him.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
