The Hendrick Outpatient Rehabilitation takes pride in offering occupational therapy to the residents of Brown County and the surrounding area. Occupational therapy enables people of all ages to perform successfully and independently everyday skills that may have been affected by an injury, illness, or lifelong disability. This is accomplished by individuals using their own strengths and capabilities to teach ways to dress, bathe or navigate their environment through the use of techniques or specialized equipment called adaptive equipment.
Occupational Therapists use experience and education to treat each patient as an individual who has psychological, emotional, social, and physical needs to:
- Formulate their personal goals and achieve them
- Function at their highest possible level of independence
- Re-build and maintain their independence
- Participate successfully in the activities that make their life worth living
