District Attorney, Micheal Murray says that a felony case was recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Mike Smith, presiding.

Joseph Ray Burns, pled guilty to the felony offenses of Assault Family Violence – Occlusion and Continuous Violence Against the Family and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Further, Burns, pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance-Drug Free Zone and was sentenced to Ten (10) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.
