The Brownwood High School Band and Middle School Band performed at the UIL Concert & Sight-Reading Evaluation on March 30 at Stephenville High School. The students earned a first-division rating from all of the judges and the band received the UIL Sweepstakes award.
Some of the comments from the contest judges were as follows:
Pat Autry, retired Band Director stated, “Overall, a very enjoyable performance. Keep up the good work!”
David Kirkley, retired band director from Hamilton wrote “Wonderful program choices! Bravo! Exemplary level of teaching and student musician performances.”
“Well done, great energy,” stated Bobby Yerigan, band director from Lake Belton High School.
BHS Band Director David Lambert praised the band on their accomplishment stating, “Congratulations to the High School Band for an outstanding job.”
