Six Positive COVID Cases, Two Deaths This Week

The Brownwood/Brown County Health Department released the weekly COVID-19 report on Thursday, March 31.

In the last seven days, the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department received 6 positive COVID-19 test results. Of the 6 positives this week, 3 were PCR, and 3 were antigen. Of the total number of cases reported this week, 4 cases met the breakthrough definition. This includes asymptomatic, mild symptoms, and severe symptom breakthrough cases.  There are 0 people currently hospitalized in Brown County for COVID-19.
Two new deaths have  been reported this week: one male in his 60s and one female in her 80s from a nursing facility
The Brownwood-Brown County Health Department is offering COVID testing at their clinic located at 510 E. Lee Street. Testing is by appointment only. If you need to be tested for COVID, please do not walk into the clinic. Testing will be conducted at your vehicle in the parking lot. The Brownwood-Brown County Health Department is offering free COVID-19 vaccinations to all youth ages 5 years or older and adults age 18 years old or older. Vaccination boosters are also available.
