GLEN ROSE – The Brownwood Lions pushed three runs across the plate in the top of of the first inning, but the Glen Rose Tigers answered with four in the bottom half – beginning a string of seven unanswered runs – as the maroon and white suffered a 7-5 loss in District 6-4A baseball action Tuesday night.
The Lions (4-10-1, 1-4) fell to the bottom of the district standings with the loss as Glen Rose (7-10, 2-3) picked up its second league win over Brownwood. The two teams meet again for the final time in district competition at 7 p.m. Friday at Morris Southall Field.
