Storms Projected for Brown County Area Tuesday Night

Tuesday night thunderstorms are expected to develop over West Central Texas and move through Brown and neighboring counties, most likely after sunset, closer to midnight into early Wednesday morning, according to KOXE Meteorologist Randy Turner.  The Storm Prediction Center has placed the entire KOXE listening area in a Slight Risk for severe storms with strong straight line winds and hail being the primary storm threats.   “The storms should develop somewhere between San Angelo and Snyder late Tuesday evening then move east during the overnight hours.  Forecast models aren’t giving us great rain totals, ranging from a quarter to a half inch.  We should also have another chance for rain in the middle of next week,” Turner added.
