Ramsey Fire Rises from the Ashes

Thanks to a hot day and very low humidity, the Ramsey fire rekindled Saturday afternoon near CR 352 and FM 1467. Just as they had done a few, short days ago, numerous area volunteer fire departments immediately responded, as did air support from the Texas A &M Forest Service. As of 8:15 pm, the Forest Service listed the fire 50% contained and 3,100 acres.

RED FLAG WARNING in effect – Wildfire Danger Day!

Similar to Saturday, the temperature is forecast to reach 90-92 Sunday afternoon.  From 10 am to 7 pm expect wind from the south to southwest at 15-25 mph.  Humidity will range between 15-20% from 1 pm through sunset.
