Some much better news this morning pertaining to the Ramsey (Blanket) Fire.  As of 5:30 am, according to Brown County Sheriff Vance Hill, the forward progress of the fire has slowed considerably.

The fire never jumped Highway 183 south of May overnight as feared.

Highway 183 is open to traffic this morning.

FM 1467 is open to traffic this morning.

The fire is contained within Highway 183 on the West side, CR 477 on the East side, 478 on the North side and 1467 on the South.

Light drizzle and light rain is falling over Brown County this morning.  Humidity levels have increased into the mid 70% range.
