Four Sentenced in District Court

According to District Attorney Micheal Murray, the following felony cases were recently heard in Brown/Mills County District Court, Judge Mike Smith, presiding.

Stephen Martinez pled guilty to two separate felony offenses of Driving While Intoxicated, one felony offense of Evading Arrest and one felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and was sentenced to Ten (10) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Oscar Ayon pled guilty to the felony offense of Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and was sentenced to Eight (8) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Ayon, pled guilty to the state jail felony offense of Abandoning/Endangering a Child and was sentenced to Two (2) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.

Wayne Harley Romine pled guilty to the felony offense of Assault Family Violence – Enhanced and was sentenced to Five (5) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Juan Carlos Garcia, on probation for the state jail felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance was adjudicated and sentenced to Eighteen (18) Months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
