Bitterly Cold This Thursday Night through Friday Night

cold

More cold temperatures than warm temperatures are in the Brown County forecast this week.  Bitterly cold weather at the end of the week will be short lived but, according to KOXE Meteorologist Randy Turner, could cause brief wintry weather on Friday.  Nights with temperatures below freezing include Monday night, Tuesday night, Thursday night, Friday night and Saturday night.  The coldest night appears to be this coming Friday night when the low could drop to near 20.  Randy’s forecast is below.

Monday and Tuesday – Highs near 50 with lows 28-30.

Wednesday – Highs near 62.

Thursday – High near 70 before a late day Arctic cold front arrives.  Temperatures will drop quickly and steadily Thursday night to the middle 20’s.  Rain could begin Thursday night.

Friday – Rain in the forecast (40% chance as of this post) and, with temperatures below freezing Friday morning, if rain is falling that morning it could lead to icy conditions.  The forecast high for Friday is 38 with wind chills in the 20’s and 30’s during the day.

Saturday – The day begins with a temperature near 20 but should warm into the upper 50’s under sunny skies.

Sunday – Sunny and upper 60’s.

Monday – Mostly sunny and near 80.
