LLANO – The Early Lady Horns lit up the scoreboard in both games they played Friday in the Llano Tournament. In two games, the Lady Horns scored 32 runs with wins of 18-0 against Brady and a decisive 14-1 victory over Ingram Moore.
In the Brady game, Teagan Lopez and Jordyn McIntire combined on a no-hitter with four strikeouts. At the plate, Early scored 10 runs in the first inning, five in the second and three more runs in the third. Offensive standouts included Jordan Simmons with two hits, including a home run, and three RBIs; McIntire with two hits and five RBIs; Taylor Summers with two hits and two RBIs; Marissa Reedy with two hits; Averey Horton with one hit and two RBIs; Lopez, Stoney McLaughlin and Trinity Torrez with one hit and one RBI apiece; and Grace LaRue with two RBIs.
In the Ingram Moore game, the Lady Horns scored 14 of their 18 runs in the first two innings. The eight-hit attack featured two and two RBIs from Reedy; two and one RBI from LaRue; one and two RBIs from Summers and Torrez; and one and three RBIs each from Aubrey Greaves and McLaughlin.
LaRue and McIntire combined to allow one run on one hit with three strikeouts and three walks in the circle.
The Lady Horns will face Jarrell at 4:45 p.m. Saturday to wrap up tournament action.
The Lady Horns are now 10-2 this season.
