SAN ANGELO – The Brownwood Lion baseball team is still searching for its first win (0-2) after an 11-7 loss at San Angelo Lake View on Tuesday afternoon.

Brownwood finished with six hits – two by David Turner and one each from Case Markham, Cole Miller, Gavin Brandstetter, and Logan Posey. Jordyn Nickerson was credited with the Lions’ only RBI as Lake View walked two and committed two errors.

On the mound, Aidan Howard, Campbell Gilmore, Jake Reaves, Quentin McCarty and Kyle Ivy combined to allow seven earned runs on 10 hits with six strikeouts and four walks.

Defensively, the Lions committed six errors.

The Lions are entered in the Stephenville Tournament starting Thursday, March 3.
