Joan Anderson age 84 of Coleman, Texas passed to be with her Lord Jesus on Tuesday, February 22, 2022 at 12:44 am at Oak Ridge Manor in Brownwood.

Services will be Saturday at 11:00 am at Henderson Funeral Chapel with Jared Russell officiating.  Interment will follow at the Shields Cemetery with Services under the care and guidance of Henderson Funeral Home Staff.  The family will receive friends for visitation on Friday from 4:30 till 6:00 pm at Henderson Funeral Home in Coleman.

She was born Joan Niell on January 20, 1938 in Santa Anna, Texas to Joe Woodrow and Ida Lee Hipsher Niell.  Joan was raised in Santa Anna graduating from Santa Anna High School in 1956 and continuing her education and graduating from Beauty School and receiving her cosmetology license which she used as a hair dresser.  On June 25, 1957 Joan married William Kenneth Anderson and they celebrated 38 years of marriage.  Kenneth preceded her in death in 1995.

Joan was lifelong resident of Coleman and member of the Hillcrest Church of Christ.  She loved her home and family and was active in her Sorority Club.  She enjoyed her hobbies of crafting and antiquing, listening to good country and gospel music and watching NASCAR.
