A brisk pace for Early Voting that resumed on Tuesday. Brown County Elections Administrator Larry Franks reports 396 early votes yesterday, 14 Democrats, 382 Republicans. Early voting resumes today (Wednesday) from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm. There will be extended early voting hours Thursday and Friday (24th and 25th) from 7:00 am to 7:00 pm. All early voting is taking place at the Brown County Elections Office, 613 N. Fisk Avenue.
Also, an IMPORTANT Message from the Elections Office. You may recall our mentioning that Brown County voters will be able to vote at any voting location in the county – the Countywide Polling Place Program.
Mr. Franks said Brown County still has not received approval from the Texas Secretary of State on the county’s application for the Countywide Polling Place Program. THEREFORE, voters in Brown County will have to go to their polling precinct on Election Day March 1st. Franks hopes the application is approved in time for the May 7th election.
