The San Angelo National Weather Service has issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Brown and neighboring counties that goes into effect tonight (3:00 am Wednesday) and continues through Noon on Thursday.
* WHAT…A wintry mix of sleet and freezing rain. Total ice accumulations will range from a light glaze to one or two tenths of an inch.
* WHERE…All of west central Texas except Crockett County.
* WHEN…Late tonight through Thursday.
* IMPACTS…Plan for deteriorating road conditions beginning late tonight, and lasting through Thursday morning.

A Winter Weather Advisory for sleet and freezing rain means that periods of sleet or freezing rain will cause travel difficulties. Be prepared for slippery roads…reduce speed…allow extra space between you and the vehicle in front of you…and use caution while driving. Even a thin glaze of ice can cause hazardous driving conditions.
