Betty Watson joined her life-long partner, David, on February 14, 2022, on their 71st wedding anniversary.
Family and friends are invited to a funeral service at 1:00 p.m. Thursday, February 17, 2022, at Stevens Funeral Home Chapel, 400 W. Pecan Street, in Coleman. A private interment will follow in the Coleman City Cemetery. Services are entrusted to Stevens Funeral Home in Coleman.
Betty was born to Ira C. “Chubby” DuBois and Jo Carroll DuBois on August 6, 1933. She dedicated her life to her family, first as wife, then mom and Mammaw. Any guest to her home was welcomed as a part of the family. Betty enjoyed making crafts and was very artistic, making beautiful paintings and ceramics. She was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi and First Christian Church in Coleman.
Betty is preceded in death by her husband, David; her parents, Chubby and Jo DuBois; and her sister, Mary Williams.
She is survived by her daughter Vicki Perry and husband Allen of Coleman; her son, Alan Watson and wife Treva of Granbury; her grandchildren, Bryan Perry of Coleman, Trevor Watson and wife Grace of Highland Village, and Courtney Drake and husband Austin of Frisco; five great-grandchildren, Faye, David, and Hattie Jo Watson and Addison and Jackson Drake; and her sister, Marsha Bailey and husband James of Edmond, Oklahoma.
