Donald was born March 29, 1935, in Santa Anna, Texas to John Alfred Williams and Martha Gertrude Woodard Williams. He grew up in Santa Anna, Texas and graduated from Santa Anna High School. Donald married the love of his life, Mary Alice DuBois, in 1955 in Coleman, Texas. With this union, three daughters were born, Donna, Debbie, and Leann. Donald’s career began as a salesperson in the restaurant industry, but became an entrepreneur, establishing Williams Tire Store in Coleman, Texas in 1973. For Donald, Williams Tire Store was more than work, it was an opportunity to serve his community, visit with his customers, or sit and have a cup of coffee with his friends. Donald loved what he did and took immense pride in his accomplishments. He served as a president of the Texas Tire Dealers and Retread Association and was awarded Business of the Year in 2013. Throughout the years Donald also established multiple businesses in San Angelo, Brady, Seguin, Brownwood, and Ballinger. He was a member of the Elm Street Church of Christ where he served as an elder, taught Sunday school, and was honored to officiate funerals for friends. Donald and Mary strongly believed in the power of prayer uplifting their family and friends. Donald served his community behind the scenes helping those in need. Donald had a profound devotion and love for his daughters, always leading the way and giving good advice. He was a life-long resident of Coleman County. His kind heart and Christian spirit will be greatly missed.

Donald is preceded in death by his parents, John Alfred and Martha Williams; his wife, Mary Alice Williams; two brothers, James Neal Williams and Robert Gerald Williams; and son-in-law, Ted Bernard.
