This month’s spotlight teacher is Jamie Villanueva. Ms. Villanueva is a Kindergarten teacher at Northwest Elementary School. She holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in English from Dallas Baptist University and is a certified teacher with a Texas Generalist Certificate (EC-6). Ms. Villanueva’s prior experience includes teaching kindergarten and pre-k at Grand Prairie ISD and first grade at UME Preparatory Academy in Dallas, TX. This is her first year with Brownwood ISD.

Ms. Villanueva is rocking it in the classroom. She has great routines and procedures and is always willing to help fellow teachers plan engaging lessons. Ms. Villanueva continually supports her working family, spending extra time and effort gathering materials and preparing classrooms with her co-workers. She is willing to do whatever is asked of her and she does it in a gracious manner. She is a wonderful addition to the Northwest staff!

Brownwood ISD is thankful to have teachers like Ms. Villanueva who go the extra mile working together to cultivate an engaging and positive learning environment for our students.

Our staff spotlight honoree for the month is Elizabeth Gilmore. Ms. Gilmore is the Instructional Technologist for Brownwood ISD. She holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Howard Payne University, where she graduated in 2000.

Ms. Gilmore has been with Brownwood ISD since 2004.  With her knowledge of computer systems, instructional technology and software, Ms. Gilmore is known to provide in-depth training and superb technical support to Brownwood ISD teachers and staff. Most recently, her database expertise and insights have been extremely valuable during the planning stages of Project Neighborhood. She is positive, upbeat, and goes above and beyond to help teachers and staff succeed with the myriad of educational tools and software utilized on a daily basis.

Brownwood ISD is grateful to have staff that are always ready and willing to contribute their time and knowledge to find solutions.

Thank you, Ms. Gilmore, for continuing to provide a strong foundation of support throughout the district.
