The National Weather Service has issued a Winter Storm Watch from noon Wednesday through Thursday afternoon for a large area of Central Texas, including the entire KOXE listening area.  Heavy mixed precipitation is possible.  Total snow and sleet accumulations of 1 to 3 inches and ice accumulation of a light glaze is possible.  Travel could be very difficult.  The hazardous conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.  In addition, cold wind chills as low as 10 below zero could result in hypothermia if precautions aren’t taken.  The wintry precipitation is most likely in the Brown County area Wednesday night through Thursday afternoon with below freezing temperatures lasting from Wednesday night through Saturday.  Power outages are possible, damage to trees possible.  You should have food and water in stock to last from Wednesday through the weekend.  Pets and livestock will need extra food, water and shelter.
