WARREN GYM -The Brownwood Lady Lions battled back from a double-digit deficit to defeat the Lampasas Lady Badgers 52-45 Friday night at Warren Gym. Tessa Goodwin led the Lady Lions with 18 points followed by Kynslee Walker with 16, Mady Pyle with 11 and Jaylen Savage with seven. Brownwood can lock up a playoff spot with a win Tuesday night at Gatesville.

In the boys game, the Lions defeated Lampasas 92-87 to claim sole possession of first place in District 6-4A. The win was the 20th of the season for Coach Will Parker and the Lions. Jakob Hataway led the Lions with 28 points followed by Bryson Monroe with 18, Luke Moss with 17, Christian Kinzler with 13, Tristan Salinas with six, Weston Burns with five, Ike Hall with three and Hayden Noe with two points. The Lions travel to Gatesville on Tuesday night.
