Mary Joe Bennett, age 71, of Lake Brownwood, passed away Saturday, January 22, 2022, at her home.

She was born February 19, 1950, in Roby, Texas, the daughter of Joe Lee Dupuy and Sarah Frances McIlwain Dupuy.  Following her graduation from high school, she later married Wayne Anthony Bennett who preceded her in death.  She had been a resident of Lake Brownwood since 2006.  She had formerly worked as a supervisor in warehousing management.

She is survived by a daughter, Michelle Bennett of Lake Brownwood, a son, Nathan Bennett of Virginia, her sister, Frances Dupuy of Cedar Park, and a brother, Walter Dupuy of Victoria.  She was also blessed with three grandchildren, Heather Cheyenne, Jackson, and Destiny.

She was cremated under the direction of Heritage Funeral Home, Davis-Morris Chapel of Brownwood.
