The filing period is open for various City Council and School Board elections in Texas.  In the City of Early, they have three Council member positions for the May 7th General Election.  Incumbents Benny Allcorn, Charles Matlock and Leland Acker have terms expiring this year.  As of Wednesday morning, January 26, no candidates have filed an application yet.

The final day to file for office to be included on the May 7 ballot is February 18.
