Alice was born on March 24, 1959 in Odessa, Texas to Elmer Eugene Bell and Emma Ruth (Stegall) Bell. Alice graduated from Bangs High School. She graduated from beauty college and owned a shop in Midland with her aunt for a couple of years. She married Paul Herschel Hoisington, Jr. on June 13, 1981 in Crawford, Texas. God blessed them with sons Kameron and Isaiah and daughters Alexis, Mariah, Sienna and Samara of Bangs. Alice owned and operated Bluebonnet Restaurant and Auction House in Bangs. She was also co-owner with her husband of Pickup-Slickup in Brownwood. For about 17 years, Alice and Paul were foster parents to many children.
Alice was a talented person. By the age of 6, she was an accomplished pianist and could play almost any instrument she picked up. She was also a wonderful cook who enjoyed reading recipes but she also devised many of her own recipes. Her family, friends and patrons of her restaurant enjoyed her delicious food.
Alice was a friendly person who never met a stranger. Many times she was the listening ear that someone needed and she always took time to hear their story.
Alice was preceded in death by her dad, Gene Bell, mom, Emma Ruth Bell, and sister, Brenda Bell.
She is survived by her husband Paul and sons Kameron and Isaiah and daughters Alexis, Mariah, Sienna and Samara; one sister Doris Jean Kelly and husband Phil of Burnet, Texas; nieces Kristie Davis and Tim Totten of Waco and Karla Cahill and husband Sean of Temple; and great niece Kelly Ann Davis of Hewitt.
The family would like to thank the nursing staff at Hendrick Medical Center of Abilene for their kind and understanding care.
