Iliea Bowden, an EMT with Lifeguard EMS, was honored Monday morning, January 10, 2022 with the quarterly Brown County First Responders Award.  She was cited for her professionalism, compassion and sensitivity to Alice O. Burks on medical calls September 7 and 8, 2021, going above and beyond in her service to helping others in need.   Iliea has been an EMT for five years, the last three of those years in Brownwood.  She worked for two years in Abilene and is now working toward becoming a paramedic.  North Lake Community Church also presented Iliea with a $100 gift card to United Supermarket and offered sincere thanks for her service and commitment.
