ABILENE, Texas — According to a report on KTXS.COM, Abilene police responded to 4310 Buffalo Gap Road and the Mall of Abilene in reference to a missing child yesterday.

According to an arrest report, Regan McClain, of Coleman, was previously contacted in Abilene and his phone was seized after being found with a 16-year-old runaway from Fort Worth. Upon further investigation, and being granted a search warrant, officers found lewd visual images of the 16-year-old in the text messages of the phone.

Officers were then notified after finding the images that McClain was with the 16-year-old and in transit to Abilene. Police contacted McClain in reference to the missing teen and he fled on foot, where he was chased inside of the Mall of Abilene.

McClain was taken into custody for harboring a runaway, possession of lewd visual material, and evading arrest. An application for an emergency protective order was also filled out. McClain is currently being held in the Taylor County Jail, no bond has been set.
