After his ministry, Chad was a member, deacon, and Sunday School teacher at Calvary Baptist Church. He was a 32nd degree Mason and belonged to the Goldthwaite and Mullin lodges.

He is survived by his wife, Kathy Anderson of Brownwood; son, Clayton Anderson and wife Courtney of Evant; his grandchildren, Brody Anderson, Emily Anderson, Collins Anderson, and Cora Biddy; his sisters-in-law, Janice Anderson, Rhea Irish and husband Mike Irish; nephews and nieces: Cody Anderson and wife JoAnn, Toby Anderson and wife Ashley, Brandie Commiato and husband Garry, Patrick Irish and wife Jennifer, Becky Kerby and husband David; and many great-nieces and nephews and cousins.     He was preceded in death by his parents, C.
