In the March 2022 Republican Primary, there will be contested races for Brown County Judge, Precinct 2 County Commissioner, Precinct 4 County Commissioner, Precinct 3 Justice of the Peace and Precinct 4 Justice of the Peace. (I is Incumbent)

Precinct 4 Commissioner – Larry Traweek (I), George Huseman

County Judge – Paul Lilly (I), Shane Britton, Molly Kay Smith, Terry Blevins

County Surveyor – Don King (I)

County Clerk – Sharon Ferguson (I)

County Treasurer – Ann Krpoun (I)

County Court at Law – Sam Moss (I)

District Clerk – Cheryl Jones (I)

County Attorney – Jennifer Broughton

Justice of the Peace Precinct 1– Doug Hurt (I)

Justice of the Peace Precinct 2 – Harold Hogan (I)

Justice of the Peace Precinct 3 – Bryan Thompson (I), Brian Edwards

Justice of the Peace Precinct 4 – Ted Perez (I), Rusty Howell, Harold Thomas, Andre Smoot

Brown County Republican Party Chairman – Robert Porter (I)

Candidates running in the Republican Primary will draw for a place on the ballot at 9:00 am this Thursday, December 16, in the Brown County Elections Office.

In the Brown County Democratic Primary, the only candidate to file was Democratic Party Chairman Mike Bullard (I).
