Brownwood City Council to Meet Tuesday Morning

The City of Brownwood City Council will meet Tuesday, December 14, at 9:00 am at City Hall, 501 Center Avenue, to take up the following agenda items.

6. Citizen Presentations
Any citizen who desires to address the City Council on a matter not included on the agenda may do so at this time. The City Council may not deliberate on items presented under this agenda item. To comply with the provisions of the Open Meetings Act, the Council respectfully requests that prior to addressing Council that each person submit a citizen presentation form that is located at the entryway to the Council Chambers, stating your name, address, and topic of presentation. All presentations are subject to a five (5) minute time limit.

A. Consider a resolution declaring surplus property.
10. Requests and Presentations
A. Consider authorizing the expenditure of funds from reserves with a budget amendment at the end of the year for the cost of ward redistricting to The Knight Law Firm in the amount of$19,000.
B. Consider authorizing a budget amendment that would allow the capital fund reallocation of $65,000 to be used for the purchase of fire equipment and to retain an engine that was slated for disposal.
C. Consider authorizing the expenditure of funds for a roll-off truck capital lease.

11. Agreements and Contracts
A. Consider authorizing the Mayor’s signature on the (Sixth Amendment) to the Lease by and between Federal Express Corporation and the City of Brownwood.
B. Consider authorizing eHT to complete the design work for cell 14-16 at an approximate cost of $100,000 with $50,000 to be paid in the FY 2021-22 as budgeted.
C. Consider authorizing the City Manager to sign an agreement with TxDOT concerning the American Rescue Grant (ARG) for reimbursement of expenses due to COVID-19.

A. Consider an ordinance on second and third/final reading approving the FY 2020/2021 budget amendments.
