Fredrick Wayne Benson passed away on Tuesday, November 23, 2021 at his home in Brownwood. The family is hosting a Celebration of Life service with friends at the Riverside Park in Brownwood, Texas at 2:00 PM, Monday, December 13, 2021. Cremation was under the direction of Heartland Funeral Home.

Fred was born on Tuesday, June 14, 1977 in Ashtabula County, Ohio to Harold and Ella Benson. He graduated from Southington High School in Southington, Ohio. Fred was one heck of a man. He would have done anything for anyone in need of help. He was one of the hardest working men we ever knew. Even when he was sick and hurting, it didn’t stop him from working to support his family. Fred was a loving father and always talked about how proud he was of his kids.

Fred is survived by his wife Mary Huff of Brownwood; 2 sons, David Gray in Tennessee, and Tyler in Indian; mother Marie Benson of Warren, Ohio; 2 sisters, Renae Diamond of Columbus, Ohio and Tina Green of Southington, Ohio.

He is preceded in death by his father Harold Wayne Benson.
