Thousands lined the streets of downtown Brownwood Thursday night to enjoy the annual Lighted Christmas Parade. The parade snaked its way through the downtown area to the delight of kids of all ages. Bands played, candy was enjoyed, smiles were everywhere. It was good to see. KOXE employees decked out a float and won The Rockin’ Little Christmas Award, presented by Justin Riggan State Farm Insurance. And making his way to Brown County again was the one and only Santa Claus, looking great as always.
Derrick Stuckly with Brownwoodnews.com took about 200 photos to capture the festive atmosphere and you can see those AT THIS LINK.
Thanks to the Brownwood Area Chamber of Commerce staff and sponsors for a most enjoyable night.
Now it’s time for the Christmas Under the Stars Festival, Friday evening 4 to 8 pm, Saturday 4 to 7 pm at the Depot and Lehnis Railroad Museum and Visitor Center. More info can be found at THIS LINK.
