In a news release from the office of Brown County Judge, Dr. Paul Lilly:

In an effort to mitigate possible negative reactions in Brown County to the Kyle Rittenhouse jury determinations, Brown County Judge Paul Lilly, Sheriff Vance Hill, Brownwood Police Chief Ed Kading, and Early Police Chief David Mercer have spoken to discuss possible local reactions to the jury’s final decision.

Judge Lilly stated “currently there are no indications of any scheduled demonstrations or any other issues locally, but it is necessary to be prepared for the safety of local residents and protection of property. With that being said I have personally spoken to Sheriff Hill, Chief Kading, and Chief Mercer and should there be any demonstrations or issues of any type, peaceful or otherwise, law enforcement is prepared.”
