This past Monday some North Lake Community Church volunteers stopped by Howard Payne’s Mabee Center to have a quick run-through before the Community-wide Thanksgiving Feast, coming up on Thanksgiving Day.  North Lake Community Church is partnering with Howard Payne University to put on the 37th annual event.

Church members met with Katrina Lynn – HPU’s Human Resource Director, Jeff Hammeken – Mabee Center’s Food Service Director, Michael Kirchman -Executive Chef, and Orelia Ponce – overseeing delivered meals.

NLCC members present were:
Steve & Janet Nash, Pastor Ron & Elaine Keener, Gwen Vinson, Dee Hart, Teresa Hobbs, David Frankson, Bernard Winslow and Ray & Marla Renfro.

A traditional Thanksgiving meal will be served from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm at HPU’s Mabee University Center, 1219 Fisk. For those living in Brownwood or Early, who can’t attend in person, they can call the Brownwood Chamber of Commerce to get on the meal delivery list.
