Barbara Ann Murphy, age 91, of Houston, passed away October 4, 2021, at the Deerbrook Skilled Nursing and Rehab Center.

She was born January 20, 1930, in Brownwood, Texas, the daughter of Jesse McHan and Virginia Odessa (Evans) McHan.   After high school, she was married to Delworth Murphy in 1946.  He preceded her in death on July 9, 1993.  She was a homemaker, a Baptist, and had been a resident of Houston for 64 years.

She is survived by her son, Tommy D. Murphy and wife Krystal of Elkton, Florida, two daughters, Betty Nadine Grobson of Spring, Texas and Wanda Shirlene Bateman of Houston, nine grandchildren, numerous great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her husband, two infant daughters, and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Monday, November 15, 2021, in the Davis-Morris Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home of Brownwood with burial to follow in the Pleasant Valley Cemetery.
