Mary Imogene Snodgrass, age 97, of Brady, Texas passed away Monday, November 8, 2021 in Brownwood, Texas.

She was born September 25, 1924 in Ganado, Texas to John Smith and Johnnie (Brown) Smith.  She graduated from Lohn High School.  She married Elvis Irland “Buddy” Snodgrass on January 26, 1947 in Brady, Texas.  She and Buddy operated a dairy for many years.  She loved to garden, raise vegetables, read and follow college football.  She had a passion for decorating for Christmas.  She was fiercely loyal to her family and dedicated to Buddy.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in Brady.

Graveside services for Imogene Snodgrass will be held at 11:00 am Saturday, November 13, 2021 at Rest Haven Cemetery in Brady with Reverend Donald Ziriax officiating.

The family will receive friends Friday evening from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Leatherwood Memorial Chapels.

Mary Imogene Snodgrass is survived by her sons Steve Snodgrass and wife Edith of Brady, TX, Dennis Snodgrass and wife Christie of Brady, TX and Donnie Snodgrass and wife Ella of Lorena, TX; daughter Becky Renfro and husband Brent of Austin, TX; brother-in-law A.C. Snodgrass of Irving, TX; sister-in-laws Ivell Smith of Brady, TX, Brenda Ziriax and husband Reverend Don of Brady, TX, Vera Nell Hall of Arizona and Susan Snodgrass of Lubbock, TX; 14 grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, brother Joe Smith and sister Dorothy Cawthon.  Imogene’s family would like to express their appreciation to the staff of Redstone Park Assisted Living and Solaris Hospice.  Memorial contributions in memory of Mary Imogene Snodgrass may be made to West Texas Rehab, West Texas Rehabilitation Center, 3001 South Jackson, San Angelo, Texas 76904-9988 and/or the Hope from the Heart, P.
