Jacky Dwayne Pierce, of Raton, NM, lost his valiant fight with cancer and went home into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at his home with his family by his side.

The memorial service is tentatively set for Monday, November 15, at First Baptist Church of Raton.  The time is not yet set. Services under the direction of Alderette Pomeroy Funeral Home of Raton.

Jack was born on October 15, 1946, in Coleman, TX.  Jack was raised in Gouldbusk, TX, by his parents Louella and A.C. Pierce.

Jack spent most his life working in the oil field overseas and loved his profession.   He retired as a consultant in the field in 2014.  Jack also loved ranching, hunting, fishing, his horses, and spending time with family and friends.  Jack always lived life to the fullest, his favorite saying was, “Life is Good!”  He was a man of few words, but his facial expressions, smile, and special wink always said it all.  Jack was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and Elks Lodge.  He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren and considered them his greatest accomplishments.

Jack was married to the love of his life, Davida Lee Berry, who preceded him in death after 32 loving years. He was also preceded in death by his mother and father.

Jack is survived by his sons and daughters, Troy and Mindy Pierce of Hewitt, TX, Casey and Shannon Pierce of Raton, NM, Cindy and James Pelton of Santa Anna, TX, and Marylynn Mataska of Albuquerque, NM; ten grandchildren, Chrystal Pelton, Jennifer and Josh Rambo of Santa Anna, TX, Jessica and Chris Cheaney of Round Rock, TX, Walker, Hadlee, and Hudson Pierce of Hewitt, TX, Tristan Pierce of Raton, NM, Jesse Dipert, Harley, and Shelby Romero of Albuquerque, NM; six great grandchildren and 1 great great grandson; his special companion, Diane Dixon of Raton,NM, who shared their adventures together and loved each other dearly; and his cousin, who were closer than brothers, Lloyd McCarroll of Azle, TX, and numerous other cousins.

Jack was a faithful, loyal friend to many.   He will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends.
