“This has been a very tough year for everyone, and our committee is proud to bring great films to the people of Hico and film festival ticket holders,” said Luci DiGiorgio, Director of the Film Festival. “The beautiful 1890’s Opera House which is now the Hico Mercantile, is a perfect backdrop for all of us to enjoy the movie selected by our committee for screening at this year’s festival.
A Red-Carpet VIP Reception is scheduled after the film festival at the Historic Hico Jail Saturday evening. The theme for the party is the movie “Javelina Run,” whose producers will be scouting Hico for film location as they develop this short film into a series. Among the special guests will be the movie stars and filmmakers of this year’s festival. Tickets and sponsorships are available online at www.billythekidfilmfestival.com.
The Billy, the Kid Film Festival, is an IRS-approved 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose goal is to raise funds for Hico and the surrounding region to promote the arts.
