The District 7 4-H Gold Star and Silver Clover Banquet was held Monday night at the Bill Franklin Center in Coleman. More than 100 4-Hers and adult leaders attended.
One of the Silver Clover honorees was Melissa Cockerham of Brown County.
“She is a volunteer in Brown County. She is the leader of our Brownwood 4-H Club. She’s been doing an excellent job. Since she’s taken it over, our membership and participation in that club has grown tremendously, even through COVID,” said Nick Gonzales, Brown County 4-H Coordinator.
The Silver Clover Award is given out at the district level, which here in this area is District 7.
“Each county nominates a Silver Clover and Ms. Cockerham was our nomination and she’s receiving that award for her outstanding service to our county,” Gonzales said.
