Three Sentenced in District Court

Three cases were recently presented by the office of District Attorney Micheal Murray in Brown/Mills County District Court with Judge Mike Smith presiding.

Selso Ortiz Martinez pled guilty to the felony offense of Harassment of Public Servant and was sentenced to Thirty (30) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division. Further, Martinez, pled guilty to the felony offense of Failure to Register as a Sex Offender- Violation After Change of Address and was sentenced to Twenty (20) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

William Hardy Pierce, on probation for the felony offense or Tampering with or Fabricating Physical Evidence, was adjudicated and sentenced to Five (5) years, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, Institutional Division.

Jerrod Levi Stembridge pled guilty to the felony offense of Possession of a Controlled Substance and was sentenced to Fifteen (15) months, Texas Department of Criminal Justice, State Jail Division.
