The City of Brownwood Building & Standards Commission will meet Thursday, October 21, at 4:00 pm at Brownwood City Hall.
The Commission may conduct a Public Hearing to inquire into the circumstances and discover the property owner’s intent for a property at 515 E. Commerce.
That is the location of the OYO Hotel which was closed temporarily after receiving numerous citations of violation from the Brownwood/Brown County Health Department. The hotel has been granted a time period to remediate the violations and re-apply for a permit to operate. Successful inspections from the Health Department, the Fire Marshall, and the City of Brownwood building code inspectors will be required, according to a previous news story on Brownwoodnews.com.
