Sadie Aileen Cox Kilmer Cawyer, age 97, of Placid, Texas a devout believer, left this world to be with her Heavenly Father on October 18, 2021 after a brief illness in San Antonio, Texas. Sadie was born in Nolanville, Bell County, Texas on June 12, 1924 to Oren Cox and Beatrice (Moore) Cox of Richland Springs. Sadie Cox married Leo Kilmer of Placid, Texas on December 23, 1941. They were married over 50 years and blessed with four wonderful children. She married JR Cawyer on November 25, 2000. Sadie was a lifelong member of the American Legion and the Church of Christ.
Graveside services for Sadie will be held at 11:00am Saturday, October 23rd, 2021 at the Placid Cemetery with Virgil Webb officiating.

Sadie is survived by her sons Richard Kilmer and wife Cynthia Milican Kilmer of Lakeway, Texas and David Kilmer of San Antonio, Texas; a daughter Ann Kilmer of San Antonio, Texas and several grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Leo Kilmer, husband JR Cawyer, son Gary Kilmer, brother Oren Earl Cox and sisters Nell Dean Cox Smith and Laverne Cox Smith Huffman. A celebration of her life will follow at the family farm.
