Shirley Lynn Cooley, age 72 of Brownwood, Texas passed away Sunday, October 16, 2021, at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.

Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM, Thursday, October 21, 2021, at Heritage Funeral Home Davis-Morris Chapel of Brownwood.

Visitation will be held Wednesday 6-8 PM, October 20, 2021, at Heritage Funeral Home Davis-Morris Chapel of Brownwood. Interment will follow at 4:30 PM, Thursday at Snyder Cemetery in Snyder, Texas. Pastor Joyce Eilers will officiate.

Shirley Cooley was born May 27, 1949, in Beaumont, Texas the daughter of Earl Hoozer and Hazel (Smith) Hoozer. She married Ray Cooley in Lampasas, Texas on March 15, 1969. She attended Brownwood nursing school and became a LVN in 1976. Shirley put Jesus Christ before all and wanted all to know Him. She had a green thumb enjoyed gardening, plants, and flowers. She had lived in Brownwood since 1971. Her greatest love was of the Father, Son and Holy Ghost.

                              Gaeron Cooley and wife Mackenzie

                              Paxton Cooley and wife Lesli

               6 great grandchildren and one on the way

               Sisters: Vonnie Woods and Lanelle and husband James Jordan

               Brothers Earl “Big Boy” Hoozer, Jr., Mike Hoozer, and Bill and wife Linda Hoozer

Preceded in death by her husband , Ray Cooley, and  her parents, brothers, John Hoozer, Robert “Pee Wee”Hoozer , and David Hoozer
