Brown County Commissioners to Meet Monday Morning

Brown County Commissioners will meet Monday, October 18, at 9:00 am in the Brown County Courthouse. The posted meeting agenda is below.

1. Declare a Quorum and Call Meeting to Order
2. Prayer
3. Recognition of Special Guests and Presentations.
4. Citizen Comments (All speakers will be required to adhere to the rules of procedure, conduct and decorum adopted by the Court on August 12, 2019. Any disruptive, abusive, obscene, or disrespectful behavior will be terminated immediately.)
5. Consideration and approval of the agenda minutes from the October 12, 2021 meeting.
6. Consideration and approval of any Treasurer’s/Auditor’s Report.
7. Consideration and approval of payment of any bills needed.

8. Consideration and approval of all appropriate action regarding the following:

A. Joel Kelton, Commissioner Pct. 2 – Consideration and possible approval of action regarding burn ban
B. Lisa Dick, Administrator – Brownwood/Drown County Health Department- Update on COVID 19 response and County health initiatives. (Pct.2)
C. Hon. Paul Lilly, County Judge – Concern Citizens of Brown County are requesting For Consideration and possible approval, a Resolution Reaffirming the Court’s dedication to the State and Federal Constitution and the protection of individual freedoms. (CJ)
D. Hon. Paul Lilly, County Judge – For consideration and possible approval of American Rescue Plan of 2021 funds for the Automatic Transfer of Power to a Power Grid that will continuously provide power to the Brown County Water Improvement District #1 ‘s Power Plants, thus providing a continuous water supply throughout the county. (CJ)
E. Hon. Paul Lilly, County Judge – Reading and discussion of Texas Senate Bill 476. This is a Discussion item only; no action will be taken. (CJ)
F. Hon. Paul Lilly, County Judge – For consideration and possible approval of funding the Zephyr Water Supply Corporation in advance with the ARP Funds due to the lack of funds. (CJ)
G. Vance Hill, Sheriff – Consideration and possible approval of employee changes.
H. Vance Hill, Sheriff – Consideration and possible approval of accepting donations.
I. Profirio Dubon, Dubon Family Foundation – Consideration and possible approval of accepting$10,000 donation for Brown County for First Responders. (CJ)
