Jim Leveritt, age 76 of Lake Brownwood, passed away Friday, September 3, 2021, at the VA hospital in Temple, Texas with his wife by side.
Jim’s wishes were to be cremated and no service.
Jim was born to James F. Leveritt Sr. and Mary (Murph) Leveritt on June 6, 1945, in El Dorado, Arkansas. He graduated from Lathrop high School in Fairbanks, Alaska in 1963.
After graduating, he enlisted in the USC and served his country as a proud marine. Then he attended Tarrant County College in Fort Worth, Texas. From there, Jim started his 32-year career in the Industrial Electronics Business in the DFQ area, New Mexico, and Colorado. He married Martha Ann Foster on June 5, 1975, and they shared 46 wonderful years together. After retiring from the industrial electronics business, he worked in real estate in the DFW area for two years, before moving to lake Brownwood. He enjoyed reading, hunting, fishing and target shooting.
Jim is survived by his wife Martha Leveritt of Lake Brownwood: son Jimmy Leveritt of Little Rock, Arkansas; sisters-in-law Ileen Smith of Cross Plains, Mamie Webb and husband George of Abilene, Sharon Foster of Seagoville, and Vicki Cobb and husband Russell of Temple, numerous nieces, nephews, friends, and Best Friend “Ranger”.
He is preceded in death by his parents; infant sister Linda, Sister-on-law Jessie Raben, brothers-in-law Carl Smith and Bugs Foster, and his nephews Rickey Wayne Smith, Butch Webb, and Cole Worley.
