Michael Bruce Guevara, 57, of Stephenville, Texas passed away Friday, October 1, 2021.

A visitation with family is planned for Tuesday, October 5, 2021 from 6:00 – 8:00 PM at Heartland Funeral Home.

Funeral service will be held in the Heartland funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 6, 2021 with interment to follow at Blanket Cemetery.

Mike was born August 4, 1964 in Key West, Florida to Lawrence and Lorean Guevara.  He graduated from Zephyr High School and attended Tarleton State University.  Mike married Flora Vasquez in Stephenville on September 8, 1986 and they began a life together that blessed them with 3 children and 6 grandchildren.  He worked for Saint-Gobain Abrasives in Stephenville for 26 years.  Mike loved happiness, he was never serious, always joking, laughing and carrying on.  Some would say, “I always liked him, I just don’t know why?”.  His fun-loving nature was genetic because he passed that gene to his children and grandchildren.  Mike loved to barter, buy, sell and trade, especially guns.  Anything to make a buck.  Mike was passionate about his family, he was the type of guy you could always count on, hard-working, willing to help anyone out and loved to drive his wife crazy.  Mike loved his wife and all his children, but he was very close to his onery daughters and absolutely loved breaking the kids rules and spoiling the grandkids.

Mike is survived by his beloved wife, Flora Guevara of Stephenville; son, Joseph Guevara of New York; daughters, Courtney Smith and husband Mikhiav Smith of Redmond, WA & Samantha Guevara of Tyler, TX; granddaughter, Nikita Guevara of Stephenville; grandsons, Amado Guevara of Trent, Malaki Guevara of Stephenville, Rezin Smith and Henley Smith of Redmond, WA; and his best four-legged friend, Russell Guevara; and grand dog, Aiden Guevara of Tyler.

Mike is preceded in death by grandson, Lennon Smith; sister, Diane Guevara; and his parents, Lawrence and Lorean Guevara.
