Geraldo Jerry Salazar, age 63, of Brownwood passed away Tuesday at Brownwood Nursing and Rehab Center following a lengthy illness.

Graveside funeral services will be held at 1 PM on Saturday, September 25, at the Greenleaf Cemetery with Pastor Jeannie Blackstock officiating.

Visitation and prayers will be held from 6 – 8 PM on Friday evening at the Davis-Morris Chapel of Heritage Funeral Home.

He was born November 30, 1957 in Brownwood the son of Lorenzo Salazar Sr. and Andrea Salava Salazar.  He had lived in Brownwood all his life and had worked at several jobs in the area.

He is survived by his mother, Andrea Salazar of Brownwood, five brothers, Lorenzo Salazar, Johnny Salazar, Alex Salazar, Michael Salazar, and Ruben Salazar all of Brownwood, four sisters, Adelia Salazar of Brownwood, Rosa Dela Cerda of Ballinger, Mary Ramirez and Donna Renterio of Brownwood and numerous nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his father, and three brothers, Robert, Raymond, and Antonio Salazar.

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to the care of Heritage Funeral Home, Davis-Morris Chapel.
