Rodney Vogel age 68, of Richland Springs, Texas passed away September 4, 2021 in Brownwood, Texas.

Rodney was born in Brady, Texas to Edgar T. and Francis (Lewis) Vogel on August 2, 1953.  Rodney attended school in Richland Springs and made his home in Richland Springs, Texas.

He was well known for his carpentry work in San Saba County.  Rodney built many homes and could make exceptional custom made cabinets.  Rodney enjoyed riding his motorcycle, fishing, and hunting.  He loved his children, grandchildren, and extended family.  Rodney was a loyal father, friend to many, and will be missed by all.

Those left to cherish his memory are his three sons; Jason, Justin, and Landon; one brother Gary Vogel;  five grandchildren; Alyssia Torres, Trendon Vogel, Kinlei Vogel, Dakota Vogel, and Weston Vogel; several nieces, nephews, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister Sue Vogel; one sister-in-law Sharon Vogel.

A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, September 10, 2021 at San Saba’s First Baptist Church at 2:00 p.m. with Brother Sam Crosby officiating.  Interment to follow at China Creek Cemetery in San Saba, Texas. Blaylock Funeral Home of San Saba, Texas in charge of arrangements.
